We recently lost our mother due to complications after an unexpected surgery. What a shock! It was devastating. Anyone who has been through the loss of a loved one knows it is a daunting and overwhelming experience. We were all dreading the trip to the funeral home to start the process of putting mom to rest. However, Barb and the incredible staff at Swan-Law made the experience as painless as possible. The staff was professional, thoughtful and most of all genuine. Yes, guiding you through the process is their job. However, each person we dealt with was sincere, gentle and understanding.
The on-site reception room we opted to use after the memorial was perfect. It was so easy to have guests simply cross the hall to visit and share stories about mom. We were not pressured to use the room, it was simply offered. Barb also suggested a very modest menu that fit our needs perfectly.
My father is so happy with the service and attention we received, he plans on making pre-arrangements for his memorial with Swan-Law's pre-planning service. We shed plenty of tears planning mom's services, but were surprised to also share quite a few smiles and laughs at the same time. I would highly recommend using the Swan-Law for your funeral/memorial needs. - (Camie Beagan)
DO NOT truths your love ones with Mickeys Funeral Home. Being from out of town I thought they would take good care of my Mother. Was I ever wrong. My Mom had to be sent to another Funeral Home and It took them hours to correct the damages that was done by them. And the Director promised me he would take care of my mother. I figured he would, didnt he have a mom. - (jon)
I drove everyone in the office crazy by calling, asking questions, crying b/c of family issues & EVERYONE tolerated more than they should have. A very special thank you to Phil. - (Sarah)
To the family of Irene Gomsrud: I am saddened to learn of Irene's death. I will miss the visits with her, her smile and happy outlook, and her "Irishness". May all your good memories of her be of comfort and continue to warm your hearts. - (Karen Cruz)
They were friendly at first, but showed no attention to detail, they sent or Father's remains to the wrong address then stuck us with the bill to get his remains back, basically they said there were done and told us to call Fed Ex to pay and have them ship the remains to the correct address. When a loved one dies it is already a trying time, then when the funeral home you deal with makes it even harder with no compassion or willingness to fix there mistake it's just unimaginable. I would Not recommended anyone to use Desert memorial services if you want good compassionate correct service! - (D)
I would just like to say that I would never use this funeral home due to the tasteless commercials it is showing for its wrestling program due to air beginning tonight. I find it totally disgusting in everyway. - (Phyllis Loftin of Conway)
My brother and I chose Desert Memorial to perform our dad's cremation since their reviews were good and their rates were low. We dealt with Kristen Anderson, and we told her to ship our dad's remains to his former Kentucky address only if they could do so prior to his memorial service. Otherwise, she was to refund the shipping charge and provide me with instructions on when and where to pick up my dad's remains.
About two (2) months after my dad's memorial service, Desert Memorial finally conducted my dad's cremation and sent his remains to his former address in Kentucky, without notifying us and against our prior instructions. They only told me about this after I inquired about it. Now, they are attempting to wash their hands of the matter, forcing us to attempt to clean up their mess, so to speak.
I would definitely recommend looking elsewhere, since no one wants to deal with this company's mistakes in addition to the pain of the loss of one's loved one. - (Darwin Airola)
Dear Sarah Jensen and the Palmer Bush Jensen Delta Chapel Team:
Thank you so much for your assistance in preparing the arrangements for the funeral and the burial of my husband and our father. Excellent and compassionate special touches helped us deal with his passing. Our family is very happy and pleased with all services and had complete understanding of each one. We will be recommending Palmer Bush Jensen Delta Chapel to other family members and friends when the need arises.
Thank you again,
The Proseus family - (KA Proseus)
Believe Mr. Cutmyer is trying to slander the name of a very reputable business for his own personal enjoyment. This is a family owner business who cares about all the families they serve. - (Socorro)
this place tried to charge me 3900$ for a simple cremation he said n then we can choose an urn... at this point i laughed and said i just had my dad cremated at 700$, no thanks n hung up... if i could give minus stars i would - (kathy)
We had a horrible experience with this funeral home. My parents bought lots there over 50 years ago when the cemetery and funeral home were one...Palms Memorial...but had since moved away. Trying to make arrangements with them to receive my dad's body and set up a grave side service were ridiculous. Unnecessary stress at a difficult time. Our local funeral director, who was handling the immediate details, was dumbfounded. We have one remaining plot for my mother but will not deal with them again! If I could give less than one star I would. - (Beverly Davison)
Community Funeral Home provided excellent service during the homegoing of my father in law, E. James Reddick. Their compassion & consideration of the family's requests was greatly appreciated. We thank Mr.Todd Harris and his staff for their service and highly recommend them for others when the need arises.; - (Rachelle Reddick)
My family has used this funeral home for over 50 years. We have alway been very pleased with their service and the fact that they always remember us. They are very accomodating, take the time necessary for us to get family in from out of town. Also the last time we used them another family member was thinking we should go to another place because she was told they were less expensive. As it turned out Spiker-Foster-Shriver was the least expensive of the 4 places she called. I would highly reccoment them to anyone in need. - (Benjamin Werren)
I'd give this place 0 stars if I could. The man running the place is the rudest person I've ever met. He started taking flowers off my Nanny's casket and packing her up while we were still in the funeral home crying. He and his staff made laying my Nanny to rest an absolutely horrible experience. - (Dakota Spires)
They did not provide the service they should have. I had a write obit and get death certificate signed. When I confronted them about the service I was told to take my father somewhere else. This was two days before the service. Obit didn't get in paper until the day before and many people didn't know about Dad's death until after the service. Nobody should be treated the way I was treated. So beware if you take your loved ones here because you'll probably get less than you bargained for. - (Sandy M)
They have staff that are not knowledgeable about Jewish customs. The funeral director yelled at my daughter during the gravesite funeral when she wanted a moment alone to say goodbye to her father. They are extremely rude and unhelpful. I would NEVER suggest using this funeral home to anyone! - (Leah)
Short and sweet; this is a business obviously under the influence of a caring mother and grandmother. Mrs. Williams cares more about getting your family through a difficult time than she does about how much you're spending. A mortuary is no place to visit but if you must, go where they care and where you won't get taken advantage of. - (randolph and amira scott)
My name is Barbara Beaulier, My Mother Eliza Lint past away Jan of this year, I did not attend , But did in May of this year when She was laid to rest at Coboro Rd. In Stetson.
