On 10/18/2013 I gave a very strong negative review, As a result of the situation of not having ownership of my funeral policy I traveled from California to Indiana and staged a protest and picket in front of Owens Funeral Home, After three days Mike Owens came out and we had a 45 min conversation, We discovered we had both been deceived by a Jay Long, the trustee of a estate. Once Mr, Owens realized the truth and the facts he went to work and corrected the problem within one day, He called the insurance company and accomplished having the policy put into my name, I have been restored and made whole. THANK YOU Mike Owens - ()

Richard has been a good friend for a long time. I had 2 sons that passed away (went home). Richard organized two beautiful ceremonies. He went above & beyond to help me through these tragic times. He treated my friends and family with respect & compassion. Thank you for every kindness. - ()

Just want to comment that I have never been treated with such caring staff (and the price was very reasonable too). - ()

Even though it was an extremely difficult time for our family, our experience at Morton Funeral Home/Ridgewood Chapels, was extraordinary. From my first phone call with the Funeral Director, Mr. Lanza up to and including the morning at the gravesite, the Director was compassionate, professional and generated an outstanding example of what true customer service should be. Unfortunately, I did have experiences with other funeral homes during my lifetime, and they met my expectations to a degree, but I have never had such a pleasant and comfortable and dignified experience as I and my family did at the recent wake of our beloved, departed brother and uncle. Should you need these type of services, I would highly recommend Morton/Ridgewood Chapels. I would like to thank Mr. Lanza and his Staff for meeting and exceeding our expectations! - ()

Bud and Susan are both caring people and work with you to give the best service possible . Our family has chosen them for two previous funeral services and the latest was on Saturday the 19th for a Memorial service for my daughter Brenda Mullins Moore. Highly recommend them to anyone needing their service's. - ()

Owens Funeral Home owner Mike Owens is a very clever man who gains a persons CONFIDENCE, then secretly changes the deal giving himself great advantage. If you must deal with him hire a good probate attorney, if not go to a different funeral home. Be careful he owns three in Alexandria and one in Summitville plus the Alexandria grave yard. I found him to be extremely dishonest and manipulative. I lost several thousand dollars. - ()

I used this funeral home to purchase a head stone for my parents in MA. My parents always took in foster children. So they designed a head stone with children. Once everything was done it was shipped to the Cemetery in MA where I live. Mr. Peterson was so easy to work with. - ()

Do you always use newspaper to stuff bodies? How would you like to be treated like that or a family member of yours have news paper in them? You should be embarrassed that you did this thinking no one would find out. So now how are people suppose to trust you with a love dons body? How do we know what you are capable of if you are able to stuff a body with you daily news paper. What section did you use? The obituaries? - ()

Henry L. Fuqua Funeral Service has changed. The staff is not as warm as it was at onetime. What Happened? Also, there is no longer any personalization there. They use to pride temselves on the way the bodies look, but the bodies look terrible. Bring back Henry Fuqua and Joann Wiggin. - ()

My friend wanted a simple no frills send off. Well I suppose that is exactly what she recieved. Parked in a corner of the basement (as in concret floor, pipes and crummy walls). She was a beautiful woman that could at times be excentric in her style. You would never have guessed that by the plane sheet that covered her. The array of headstones that were in the other corner were a nice touch, all that was missing were some spiderwebs and an errie tape in the back ground. There was not even a place to pray! I know that money plays a part, and that some people want simple but this was disrespectful. If they would donate a corner for the poor I would be willing to decorate it in memory of my friend, so no one elses family has to say good bye in such deplorable conditions. - ()

Rollins Funeral handled my mothers remains in 1968. They did beautiful work at that time. My family was very pleased & comforted. Seeing as my mom had been disfigured from being beat to death in the head & raped, her face was disfigured & the embalmers did a wonderful job. You could not even tell anything had happened from what we saw in the hospital & what the embalmers had completed. To this day I thank God for the kindness we were shown. I was 12 years old then. God bless you all always - ()
