Chris is very good, the room is nice and large. My mother looked beautiful. I would rate it higher if one certain person could be nicer to family members. - ()

This was the first funeral home I had been to where I felt the funeral director was only interested in money. Small and not enough seats for everyone. He told me if I was going to stay that I needed to find a seat and sit. I informed him that there were not enough seats. He said there are 2. There were 20 of us standing. He tried to make the daughter of the deceased sit in the back. His "bed side manner" was terrible. He was rude and disrespectful. Telling everyone they needed to get to their cars after the service when they were paying their last respects. There were absolutely no one who lined up cars or even police to direct traffic going to the cemetary. He would speed up to 65 mph and many were left behind. They started the tent before everyone was there or even out of the cars. If you want a funeral home who appears to care for you, I do not recommend this Gerts Funeral Home in Brook, Indiana. - ()

In addition to all of the advertising, would it be possible to list the obituary so that those of us who live out-of-town could be informed? - ()

So sorry to hear about Mae, I loved her. She was a dear friend and colleague at the bowling alley. Don'y forget that she also was a member of the Portsmouth Women's Bowling Assn. Hall of Fame. - ()

they got my e-mail and never once informed our family of any written documents from any insurance agency and then began to charge us more than what they said would be the final price. we need proof before we pay legal proof. - ()

He's rude, crude, sloppy, now I know why. He hasnt got any compassion, or the understanding of dealing with people going thru loss of loved ones. - ()

I was very disappointed in this funeral home. I think they have a communication problem inside the funeral home. The owner was told not to do my moms makeup but when I arrived to do her hair and makeup I did not recognize my mom. A man must have applied the makeup because my mom looked like a clown. This was not the only problem we had. I would not recommend this funeral home to anyone. They make too many mistakes. A grieving family doesn't need additional stress...thought it was the duty of a funeral home to help relieve stress....not this one. - ()

I can not find the obituary of Robert E Thompson whom you have the services for Mar 9. I never saw a funeral home website that did not list the obituaries. - ()

Brad I just wanted to express my appreciation, along with Ivey Quinn's family that we really appreciate everything you did for him while he was in your care until he could be home with his family. Thank you for your support in our time of sorrow. Thank you so much Joy Barnett-fiancee' - ()

02/23/13 at 11:00 am, Mr. Willam Creed was laid to rest in the Mount Comfort Cemetary. The weather was not perfect with a drizzling cold rain. Our family stood by Mr. Creed's grave site under a canopy that had been erected by your grounds keepers as well as metal folding chairs that had a cloth covering. Family members attempted to sit in the chairs only to discover they were completely saturated with water and the cloth covers have to be removed and the seats dried with kleenix. After sitting down water started to leak down on our family. I looked up and noticed not only was there a large tear in the canopy but you could see mud on the interior. Mr. Creed's casket was draped with an American flag which was also had water leaking on the top of it. I found this incident to be very disturbing by the lack of professionalism that was exhibited by your employees this day, Several of my family members are elderly and they got soaking wet. Mr. Creed was my uncle and Korean War veteran, the only professionals that did their duty this day was the Army Honor Guard and the Minister. My famly was insulted by the way your cemetary did not exercise due care to insure that their service would be made as comfortable as possible it is unexcusible to say the very least. My aunt had to pay $2300 for this service provided by your employees which is totally out of line for the quality of service provided. - ()

The workers always seem grumpy and like they are being put-out by our family both times I have been here for funerals. They also don't seem to like having children in their parlor even when they are a major part of our family. I was not overly impressed either time our family used their services. - ()

I see you have changed your sight, what did you do with the Obits? I don't see them anywhere. I go into the Funeral Home every day to see who has passed away because I am from there. Can you help me out? Thanks - ()
