Hello - my uncle, Turk Miller, was the original director of this funeral home, the only one in Danville. I have many happy memories of visiting the funeral/family home at 10 W. Mahoning during my youth. As I recall, my uncle's professionalism was utmost in his work as well as his insistance in having him who followed him hold the same values. I can only hope that his values have continued to this day. - ()

A Huge Thank you to Brian and Morgan for making the arrangments for my brother in laws services as stress free as possible. Also for being so open to the many requests. My husband and I would highly recommend this funeral home to other families as the need arises. - ()

Legacy Funeral Home in Spanish Fork, Utah that is run by Lance Nelson was the most memorable experience when it came to obtaining his service. I called many funeral homes around here on Memorial Day and all gave me ‘We will get back with you tomorrow.’ However, when I called Legacy Funerals, Lance came to the home within hours to help with arrangements. The prices were very exceptional and ideal as other funeral homes were way above and beyond our budget. In addition, Lance was available 24/7 and kept us inform daily along with great communication with everyone involved. Our family was so impressed with the way they took over things in a professional manner and helped us with our sorrow, along with willing to accommodate our traditions. Legacy Funeral is about helping the family with quality, NOT to make a profit!! Most definitely recommend Legacy Funeral Home to everyone! Thank you again Lance for everything, greatly appreciated!!!! - ()

I am so unpleased with this company just as well as the preparation of my mother. The did not prepare her at all based on the information i found out in regards to embalming, just as well as their unprofessionalism in regards to getting my mother's ashes. The receptionist, and host of others i talk too keep giving me the run around. After just having services 6/09/2012 you would think that they would show more sympathy when a family member call in regards to following up as stated with a prior call. I would not recommend this funeral home to no one. They suck. - ()

Avoid this place if you can. My sister-in-law used this place and wow, they don t know what they are doing. She went in to make arrangements and they took her into the embalming room to look for something!!! Unprofessional. As the funeral ended at the cemetery, the funeral director handed her the bill and went over the charges!! This should have waited. Come on, right after she buried her dad. UNPROFESSIONAL!. Then to top it off, the death certificate was filled out incorrectly. Copies had been made and distributed to several agencies. Then it was discovered the SS number had been her mothers!! WOW talk about incompetence. They need to take a course on dealing with customers and how to run a funeral home. Go to Reed City instead. - ()

The comments about President Obama are anti American. This site should be to memorialize our loved ones who have passed, not for politics. - ()

Worst experience ever thanks to the current Funeral Director (FD). The owner had overseen the funeral of both my brother and father, and were wonderful experiences, under the circumstances. My mother's burial was handled by the FD, and I am writing this review so anyone entering into approx. a $20,000.00 arrangement has a heads up to be on your toes. ISSUE NO. 1: Started by being told by the owner they would remove all jewelry placed on my Mother prior to burial, therefore I did not worry about jewelry placed on my Mother for the viewing. Prior to leaving the funeral parlor FD approached me and stated they would just leave her ring on and any jewerly, not thinking (I was rather upset) I agreed. 20 minutes after leaving the grave site I asked him about specific items and he stated it was too late late to retrieve the specific items I requested. ISSUE NO. 2: I had not signed off on my Mother's headstone engraving. When this was brought to my attention I told FD exactly how to engrave the stone, and more specifically not to engrave the stone as he desired to engrave it (using initials). Regardless FD did exactly what I told him absolutely not to do. Now every time I go to my Mother's grave site I will be reminded of the FD's work. I would not recommend his work to anyone. This chapter is the last in a person's life, and for so many important details to be so grossly mishandled cuts to the bone and adds to the pain and sorrow of the loss of my mother, I would not wish this on the anyone. - ()

You need to include Larry Helget as a nephew in Harold Schmid's online obituary. They were together all the time. Larry will be extremely hurt if he reads it & doesn't see his name. - ()

I was very pleased with the way Rasmussen handled my sons arrangements. Their facilities, equipment and services was top notch and handled with a minimum amount of discomfort to us as possible. Nick will take care of things for you. - ()
