"Death leaves a heartache no one can heal, love leaves a memory no one can steal. From an Irish headstone" ? Richard Puz, The Carolinian Grief is a deeply personal experience that cannot be conscribed by any other person. Each person experiences the heartache of losing a loved one differently and...

Over the years I've pondered the meaning of trials and sorrow that my loved ones or I have endured. Some believe there are lessons to learn from hardship. I agree. In many instances we learn compassion, empathy, faith, trust, and humility. Our own choices will often lead to natural consequences that...

Funeral Home Reviews
Glen Burnie, Maryland
I would NEVER recommend this funeral home to anyone. I would never want a family to experience what mine did. It started when my mother in law passed and they sent one person to pick up her body. They had the two son's and grandsons place her in the body bag and carry her down the steps and outside to the van to take her away. Her head was exposed and even the neighbors were in disbelief. When I questioned Carol at Fink Funeral Home she said they were short handed and that was why only one person showed up to pick her up.. I had asked her what would of happened if my 84 year old father in law had been there alone and she said then they would have called the police for assistance, but they didn't do that. My husband will have that memory of his mom in that bag until the day he dies......ITS UNACCEPTABLE! The obituary had her name spelled wrong, the typing had mistakes and the grammar was deplorable. Doesn't anyone proof read this things?. The death certificate had the wrong social security number and I was told the corrected ones were in the mail. I never received them and after numerous phone calls I had to go myself to Vital Records and repay for them myself. When I kept calling Carol for these she said to me, "well they are coming from Glen Burnie." Il live in Baltimore County and mail arrives within a day or 2. Again, we never received them when I kept calling her, she hung up on me. I wouldn't even give this hole in the wall a1 star rating. Do yourselves a favor and go to a reputable place for your loved ones, this is NOT THE PLACE TO GO ! Save your family the grief mine had to suffer !!!!

We had a horrible experience. We were given false and misleading information. I actually had to educate the young funeral director on the facts of Social Security as he was confused to the law. After they changed the amount on the invoice, they actually told me that they were sorry that it was confusing for me. Believe me, I am not confused. They are greedy and shady.

On behalf of 8 daughters and a mother, we want to thank Coopers and Jake Hebdon for the wonderful, very professional services provided. Jake came to the house and picked up my father. From the minute he walked in the door he made my 80 year old very comfortable. We told her he was "Jake from State Farm", she knew that commercial well. Then I found out that I actually worked with his mother and had known all about his career change and adventures in his new career. From that point on he dealt very well addressing questions and answers to my mother instead of all the girls. He answered her questions in a way she understood. She was able to make her own decision with as much time as she needed. She chose cremation but, did not want the ashes at the service. He took our special pictures to the floral shop so flowers could be arranged around them. He also contacted the Veterans associations and set up the arrangements for the military service. He even took some calls throughout the couple days with last minute questions we each had. I am disabled and can not walk or stand for only a few minutes at a time. Cooper's have an elevator which makes it very convenient for anyone with ambulation difficulties. I was able to use a cane instead of a walker or wheelchair because of the elevator convenience. The room was large and our party fit in there nicely. We felt all together. Some funeral homes have 2 small rooms and the people in the back feel separated and blocked off. In those visual ability is poor as well as hearing what people are saying. We were told by a person in attendance that this was the best funeral they have attended. I agree, my 2 brother in laws were allowed to perform the service. The floral shop owner is a long time friend of my parents. Like I said, we appreciate everything they did to make this day easier for us and they succeeded. I would recommend Cooper's Funeral Home to anyone.
