This establishment is an absolute farce and you should refrain from doing any business with them. They failed to secure a priest for my fathers funeral and seemed lost as to how to rectify their failure at our greatest moment of need. The general manager, Todd Noecker stayed in the office and did nothing to help. Our family is deeply disappointed with the lack of professionalism and care we were afforded. Do not entrust your loved ones to any establishment associated with this horrible funeral home. My father, Juan Guillen, deserved more respect.Posted: Nov 08, 2012

My brother , Robert Stephens died June 30th. He had a graveside service through Cole Funeral Home, in McGregor. The day my sister and I went to plan his funeral we were told we would have to pay in full that day. We paid over $11,000. Then another $11,000 was paid from his estate. My sister and I have been trying since that time to recover our money. We've had lies, promises and a lot of lip service, but no money. I used my credit cars to pay my half, that bill is due in a few days..but still no money!! I'll have to deplete my savings accounts to get it paid on time. I would advise anyone not to die in Mcgregor or go to Waco to find someone who is not so dishonest. My sister was told several times that the money would be delivered to her house, that has never happened. You don't have a negative star rating for this review, it is even less than one star.Posted: Jul 30, 2016

I would like to share my story with any one that is going to consider James Evans Funeral Home To complete there Family's Last wishes. Me and my family went to the Evans Funeral Home Aug 19 2011 When I lost my mother . These people were Very Kind Very Respectful and Very Considerate to my family . They went above and beyond For my family . They are Very understanding of people finances and Did there very best to help my family . And so that is why my family went back to them sadly again this year When my father past away . Witch was even harder to pay for because my father didn't believe in paying for his death before hand .. yea I no some people would think that is dumb well yes and no .. So me being the youngest of my dads five children . It was left to me to pay because The Evans Funeral Home new I was the only one that could pay for my father.. So once again these wonderful people help my family every way they could .. And for that I got to lay my father to rest with my mother were he wanted to be.. So I would love to tell every one this is the best place you could go to take care of your family last wishes .. Because these people will do a 100% job For you ..
