Funeral Home Reviews
Brooklyn, New York
I recently attended a funeral service on a 90 degree day and the funeral director did not provide air conditioning to the family and relatives attending the funeral. When I inquired as to why there was no AC on, the funeral director said it was broken. He further stated why was I asking now when the funeral was coming to a close. His attitude was dismissive and he lied because I felt air coming from one vent located in the entry of the funeral room. I would never recommend this funeral service as their customer service clearly is lacking.

Wantagh, New York
My family and I went to Charles J. O'Shea funeral home in Wantagh and were treated with the upmost respect from the initial phone call. My Grandmother was very sick, which worried us, but she looked fantastic. We gave them our most memorable pictures of her and they made a beautiful slideshow. During the visitation the staff was accommodating and always in sight if we needed anything. After church the limousine driver had coffee and rolls for us. These little touches made all the differences in our great time of loss.

Mr. Rodney Gibbs, the Director and his staff, were extremely respectful, understanding, and accommodating. I was so impressed by their professionalism, and their efficiency. In today's society, it is a blessing, to have someone treat your unfortunate circumstance with respect and regard, and not as another dollar sign. Thank You Mr. Gibbs, and your staff!!

Ridgewood - Queens, New York
Even though it was an extremely difficult time for our family, our experience at Morton Funeral Home/Ridgewood Chapels, was extraordinary. From my first phone call with the Funeral Director, Mr. Lanza up to and including the morning at the gravesite, the Director was compassionate, professional and generated an outstanding example of what true customer service should be. Unfortunately, I did have experiences with other funeral homes during my lifetime, and they met my expectations to a degree, but I have never had such a pleasant and comfortable and dignified experience as I and my family did at the recent wake of our beloved, departed brother and uncle. Should you need these type of services, I would highly recommend Morton/Ridgewood Chapels. I would like to thank Mr. Lanza and his Staff for meeting and exceeding our expectations!

In contacting this funeral home with regard to the burial of a Veteran, I found them to be very elusive in providnig information to the point that they did not want the American Legion to attend the burial because "there will not be any services". When I told them we just want to pay our respects regardless of the lack of services, I received the same response - "there are not going to be any services - we just drop him off and the Veterans cemetery buries him at their leisure".
