Funeral Home Reviews
Bridgeport, Connecticut
I recently can to knowledge of your funeral home through the media and the story regarding grieving parents attempted theft of their deceased son's ashes. I recently lost my infant son. I am disgusted with your funeral home. The funeral home that handled our son's services and cremation did not charge us a dime. They refused to accept any type of payment. Our of respect for us and what they recognized as such a significant loss they were willing to take the financial loss. Mesa Funeral Home in Grand Junction Colorado. You should take a lesson from them!!! It was an amazing gift to us to comfort us. Mr. Edgar Rodriguez to you personally, to say in your interview that you hope the family is able to find closure in their theft and not being able to get the sons ashes out of the country is terrible. That was a very mean and hurtful thing to say. How dare you use manipulation of grieve of these people's son to support your cause. And really you think you are a compassionate man to offer to reduce the fee. You should have never mentioned charging them in the first place!!!! I also understand how funeral homes work. They are a business and therefore need to make a profit. I have immediate family members who own and operate a funeral home. You sir only care about profit in the business. Your business clearly has no compassion for it's customers. This would be the last place on earth I would allow my loved ones to be handled.

We recently lost our mother due to complications after an unexpected surgery. What a shock! It was devastating. Anyone who has been through the loss of a loved one knows it is a daunting and overwhelming experience. We were all dreading the trip to the funeral home to start the process of putting mom to rest. However, Barb and the incredible staff at Swan-Law made the experience as painless as possible. The staff was professional, thoughtful and most of all genuine. Yes, guiding you through the process is their job. However, each person we dealt with was sincere, gentle and understanding. The on-site reception room we opted to use after the memorial was perfect. It was so easy to have guests simply cross the hall to visit and share stories about mom. We were not pressured to use the room, it was simply offered. Barb also suggested a very modest menu that fit our needs perfectly. My father is so happy with the service and attention we received, he plans on making pre-arrangements for his memorial with Swan-Law's pre-planning service. We shed plenty of tears planning mom's services, but were surprised to also share quite a few smiles and laughs at the same time. I would highly recommend using the Swan-Law for your funeral/memorial needs.

We laid out my Uncle at this place and it was disgusting to say the least! The smell of Cigarettes was over whelming when you walked in the door and it is very dated. The couches were stained and all sagging and the carpeting was worn out. My Aunt who is elderly asked if I would help her and the Gentleman was kind to her but he kept switching prices midstream she was confused and I ask that he please leave the room to discuss further. I spoke to my Aunt and as I looked over by the door he was standing and eavesdropping. Needless to say we left it was very unsettling experience. I cannot remember his name but he was older wore glasses and smelled of Cigars. Outside the place looks lovely but once inside it is a timewarp
