Funeral Home Reviews
Ames, Iowa
My parents passed away recently. We used stevens funeral home both times. For my fathers memorial they rushed us and cut the memorial short by 35 minutes. People showed up after we were rushed out of there... They didnt allow people to get up and speak about my father because they were in such a hurry for us to leave early. We paid ahead of time for burial of the urns... After 3 months there is still no name on the burial site, even though plaques were paid for ahead of time.... Wish we would have gone elsewhere! Very unhappy! Also the building is very small and not well set up to have a funeral.

Cedar Rapids, Iowa
Horrible, devastating experience. Wish they had negative marks for funeral directors.

Laytonsville, Maryland
I would not recommend the Muriel Barber Funeral Home in Laytonsville, MD. The charges are steep ($500/hour for funeral costs), and the staff is inflexible. The decor is outdated as well. I would choose an alternate setting for a warm family gathering. This funeral home rushed us out at the end of our 3 hour period because they had booked something else. Not the feeling you want as you end a day of grieving.

Chenoa, Illinois
The sympathy flowers where more beautiful than on the picture. Very fresh and the arrangement was just wonderful. I would buy from this store any time again with confidence. Thanks for your outstanding and friendly service.
