Funeral Home Reviews

The funeral home itself was very clean. I must say though Steve Rains looked nothing like himself. The makeup looked caked on, like the person that did him didnt know what they where doing. His hair was also not the way he wore it either. I probably wouldn't use this company in the future due to Steve not looking like himself at all.

Callous personnel, prayer cards with typographical errors that seemed to annoy them when we asked for them to correct it. Felt like they were in this business for the profit and no compassion whatsoever.

I cannot recommend this funeral home at all. The older gentleman who runs it has zero compassion. He talked about how he didn't like the job, couldn't wait to retire, showed off his new watch. The thing that really still bothers me is at the cemetery he was standing behind the navy guard handing me a flag with paperwork in hand, I don't remember the navy mans speech as I was being distracted by this sims guy leaning over his shoulder waiting for him to get done. The minute the guard handed me the flag and left there was this man handing me a flag holder and thanking me for my business. My daughter had broken down on my shoulder when the flag was presented, and I couldn't even comfort her because this guy was in such a rush to get out of there, I had to u hug my daughter to accept the paper work. Everyone noticed but because of the situation didn't intercede. It was appealing, and that's the memory Of my husbands service I'm stuck with. I had to leave the room several times during the planning stage because of his insensitivity, and let my sister speak for me. I looked a headstones there but was so mad at this man I decided to choose one later, and I'm glad I did. I went to wire grass memorial for the headstone and was quoted a price two and a half times cheaper and nicer then the one sims quoted me. I highly recommend speaking to wiregrass memorial before going to sims. They don't do the service but can tell you who is good or not.

My father in law was in that funeral home.a rude is not the word for that man. We were under the tent after the service my husband and his brother and their Mother had not even got up.Mr. Sims had not told them there was any thing else he needed from them but. there was a small charge for the death date on the head stone the man could not even let them get up before her ask for his money. He had just been paid in full for the entire service. They certainly were not going to beat him out of a few dollars. They informed their Mother they would not take her there none of the rest of this family will ever go to those people. Needless to say they paid him right there by the grave side.
