Funeral Home Reviews

May 13, 2013 was my Dads wake, let me tell ya Dennis could not have made us more comfortable then what he did. He paid attention to all the details, large and small; under the circumstances it is a comfort to have someone looking over these things. We had 90+ attend the wake and many people asked me if we personally knew Dennis and those who worked for him, I said no but that's how they treated all of us.

When asking Mrs. Cranston a question about my lost loved one, she responded to me, "You people need to get a grip!" Regardless of how many times I had contacted them, (three times in three days) this is NOT something I should hear from a funeral home employee. We will NEVER use them and will be tellling our friends not to either

My father in law was in that funeral home.a rude is not the word for that man. We were under the tent after the service my husband and his brother and their Mother had not even got up.Mr. Sims had not told them there was any thing else he needed from them but. there was a small charge for the death date on the head stone the man could not even let them get up before her ask for his money. He had just been paid in full for the entire service. They certainly were not going to beat him out of a few dollars. They informed their Mother they would not take her there none of the rest of this family will ever go to those people. Needless to say they paid him right there by the grave side.

I have never in my life been so DISGUSTED with a business. Absolute lack of class, dignity, honor, and respect! The proprietor made us feel second class - like we were a burden to his busy schedule, and business - rushing through details like we were in line for a burger and fries! He even made us feel like we were holding him up, like what he was doing was a favor for us. How can anyone remain in business without some empathy at a families time of suffering, and need for compassionate patience is beyond me. If I could rate him lower than 1 I would. And parking was terrible.

I would NEVER recommend this funeral home to anyone. I would never want a family to experience what mine did. It started when my mother in law passed and they sent one person to pick up her body. They had the two son's and grandsons place her in the body bag and carry her down the steps and outside to the van to take her away. Her head was exposed and even the neighbors were in disbelief. When I questioned Carol at Fink Funeral Home she said they were short handed and that was why only one person showed up to pick her up.. I had asked her what would of happened if my 84 year old father in law had been there alone and she said then they would have called the police for assistance, but they didn't do that. My husband will have that memory of his mom in that bag until the day he dies......ITS UNACCEPTABLE! The obituary had her name spelled wrong, the typing had mistakes and the grammar was deplorable. Doesn't anyone proof read this things?. The death certificate had the wrong social security number and I was told the corrected ones were in the mail. I never received them and after numerous phone calls I had to go myself to Vital Records and repay for them myself. When I kept calling Carol for these she said to me, "well they are coming from Glen Burnie." Il live in Baltimore County and mail arrives within a day or 2. Again, we never received them when I kept calling her, she hung up on me. I wouldn't even give this hole in the wall a1 star rating. Do yourselves a favor and go to a reputable place for your loved ones, this is NOT THE PLACE TO GO ! Save your family the grief mine had to suffer !!!!
