8/2/13 I would not recommend this funeral home to anyone. Communication between Schleifer and my family was poor. Schleifer would only speak with family regarding decisions if confronted. He thought that he should speak with the deceased's friend for decision making. Plus, I am still waiting for a corrected death certificate from 4/26/13 due to Ted Schleifer's error and he is doing nothing to try and expedite things so my aunt can get what is due to her, but Schleifer made sure he was paid upfront for his services (if that is what you want to call them.) My advice is to stay clear of this funeral home and director.

Hello - my uncle, Turk Miller, was the original director of this funeral home, the only one in Danville. I have many happy memories of visiting the funeral/family home at 10 W. Mahoning during my youth. As I recall, my uncle's professionalism was utmost in his work as well as his insistance in having him who followed him hold the same values. I can only hope that his values have continued to this day.

I would like to share my story with any one that is going to consider James Evans Funeral Home To complete there Family's Last wishes. Me and my family went to the Evans Funeral Home Aug 19 2011 When I lost my mother . These people were Very Kind Very Respectful and Very Considerate to my family . They went above and beyond For my family . They are Very understanding of people finances and Did there very best to help my family . And so that is why my family went back to them sadly again this year When my father past away . Witch was even harder to pay for because my father didn't believe in paying for his death before hand .. yea I no some people would think that is dumb well yes and no .. So me being the youngest of my dads five children . It was left to me to pay because The Evans Funeral Home new I was the only one that could pay for my father.. So once again these wonderful people help my family every way they could .. And for that I got to lay my father to rest with my mother were he wanted to be.. So I would love to tell every one this is the best place you could go to take care of your family last wishes .. Because these people will do a 100% job For you .. So I would like to say again to The Evans Funeral Home thank you again from the bottom of my heart .. Melissa Butler & Butler Family

I have nothing but great things to say about Heath's. They have service my family for years! They make you feel at ease, and go over and beyond for your needs! I would lime to thank Matt Heath for what he did for me in my time of need with my fathers passing! I can't tell you what that meant for me!

Dealing with CR and his crew is like dealing with a bunch of poorly trained monkeys. My father died very suddenly, without any true preparation in funerary matters. So you'd think that Piatt&Barnhill would take the opportunity to do the best job they could. They didn't. Created by CR and his terrible toupee our questions were greeted by a series of bumbling "uhs" and "I don't know". If my father's body wasn't already in transit I would have walked out then and know now what I do, I should have. But that was only the beginning. After countless clerical errors on the death certificates, they refused to mail them to us. Demanding that we stop in and pick them up. For being in the business of helping alleviate stress and work during a time of grief theses people, they fail immensely.
