Even though it was an extremely difficult time for our family, our experience at Morton Funeral Home/Ridgewood Chapels, was extraordinary. From my first phone call with the Funeral Director, Mr. Lanza up to and including the morning at the gravesite, the Director was compassionate, professional and generated an outstanding example of what true customer service should be. Unfortunately, I did have experiences with other funeral homes during my lifetime, and they met my expectations to a degree, but I have never had such a pleasant and comfortable and dignified experience as I and my family did at the recent wake of our beloved, departed brother and uncle. Should you need these type of services, I would highly recommend Morton/Ridgewood Chapels. I would like to thank Mr. Lanza and his Staff for meeting and exceeding our expectations!

It's taken me a while to be able to get my feelings together. With a loss of a grandmother is hard enough. But the horrible work that was done on my grandma is traumatic I'm an EMT so I'm not weak, but to see the string hanging out of her nose really! I'm so sorry grandma that you were taken there this is not the way someone wants to see their loved one Ortiz funeral home on 72nd in NYC stay away

The Spronz family thanks you from the bottom of our hearts. During a difficult time the Harris family, especially Rick Jr., were absolutely wonderful, professional, compassionate, kind and considerate. We experienced some difficulties with the hospital, and I can't say enough about Rick for stepping up, taking charge, getting answers and helping us through the process. There is no place I would rather pay respects to our dear angel Emily Isabella more, than at Harris Funeral Home. When the time comes all our family will work with Harris and we recommend them above all others to everyone needing funeral arrangements.

I was honored to have my wife's funeral service handled by this funeral home. The facility is a historic house in a historic town. The house is kept in A-1 condition and feels like a home not a funeral chapel. Many of the folks that attended the calling hours commented on how the presentation was as it made you think your were just visiting an old freind. We also had several small childern in the family who were there and the staff took care of thier needs by providing coloring books and reading material in a seperate room off from the main viewing room. They attended to the childern while the family was allowed to visit with guests. I was very very impressed by the professionalism of the staff from the time they came to pick up the remains to the constent contct with us to know if there was anything that could be done. I would highly recommend this funeral home to anyone who is looking to pre arrange a funeral or have the need for one at the time of the passing of a loved one.
