Funeral Home Reviews
Raritan, New Jersey
I'm so glad that I made the decision of having Anna Bongiovi help us plan and go through the funeral arrangements for my mother. The courtesy, respect and professionalism showed were outstanding to say the least. Although Anna was absent her reflection was on Eve, whom I couldn’t thank enough for making us feel as if my mom were her own. Wayne thank you for greeting our friends and families plus attending to all our needs. From the moment this process started until the end the utmost respect, reverence and care was all that was shown from this funeral home staff. Anthony thank you for taking my mom to her final resting place with such class. Thank you will never be enough to say how appreciative we are and always will be

We laid out my Uncle at this place and it was disgusting to say the least! The smell of Cigarettes was over whelming when you walked in the door and it is very dated. The couches were stained and all sagging and the carpeting was worn out. My Aunt who is elderly asked if I would help her and the Gentleman was kind to her but he kept switching prices midstream she was confused and I ask that he please leave the room to discuss further. I spoke to my Aunt and as I looked over by the door he was standing and eavesdropping. Needless to say we left it was very unsettling experience. I cannot remember his name but he was older wore glasses and smelled of Cigars. Outside the place looks lovely but once inside it is a timewarp

Worst experience ever thanks to the current Funeral Director (FD). The owner had overseen the funeral of both my brother and father, and were wonderful experiences, under the circumstances. My mother's burial was handled by the FD, and I am writing this review so anyone entering into approx. a $20,000.00 arrangement has a heads up to be on your toes. ISSUE NO. 1: Started by being told by the owner they would remove all jewelry placed on my Mother prior to burial, therefore I did not worry about jewelry placed on my Mother for the viewing. Prior to leaving the funeral parlor FD approached me and stated they would just leave her ring on and any jewerly, not thinking (I was rather upset) I agreed. 20 minutes after leaving the grave site I asked him about specific items and he stated it was too late late to retrieve the specific items I requested. ISSUE NO. 2: I had not signed off on my Mother's headstone engraving. When this was brought to my attention I told FD exactly how to engrave the stone, and more specifically not to engrave the stone as he desired to engrave it (using initials). Regardless FD did exactly what I told him absolutely not to do. Now every time I go to my Mother's grave site I will be reminded of the FD's work. I would not recommend his work to anyone. This chapter is the last in a person's life, and for so many important details to be so grossly mishandled cuts to the bone and adds to the pain and sorrow of the loss of my mother, I would not wish this on the anyone.

The man who worked there was extremely rude to my sisters and I..even slamming the door shut to the viewing room as my sister and I were waiting for my grandmother who just lost her son. I would not recommend this funeral home.

Kamienski Funeral Home has quite the reputation. First, the father hires an habitual cuss John Condrick, who underhandledly has stolen excessive finances during Pauls wrongful imprisonment for 20 years, has driven away devout clientel and key staff members such as Henry Scarpa whom were pleasureable to deal with avoiding Johns arrogance and insults to families. His longtime companion works the office and numbers and has been known to have funneled finances out of the business, along with occupying the firms property in Passaic, which housed a former location and the vehicles. John, do yourself and the profession a favor, but mostly the funeral home, resign your license and become a customer yourself. You are not wanted by the communities you have deceived for years since licensed in 1959. Give Fred Surdyka the advantage to make Kamienski Funeral Home a respected institution you have ruinated. Your absence wont be missed.
